HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1222 ORDINANCE NO. 1222 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING DIVISION 9 OF THE HUNT- INGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE -- CODE AMENDMENT 66-7 RELATING TO WALL RE- QUIREMENTS AND CODE AMENDMENT 66-8 RELATING TO SETBACKS . The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: Section 1. That the following Sections of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code are hereby amended, and as amended, shall read in words and figures as follows S. 91o6.2 Setback from a Street. Any 'carport or garage entered direct y from a street shall set back a minimum of 22 feet from the ultimate right-of-way of said street. Said ultimate right-of way as indicated on the latest adopted Master Plan of Arterial Streets and. Highways and any precise plan of street alignment shall prevail. S. 9166.5 Setback from a Street. Any carport or garage entered direct Ty from a street shall set back a minimum of 22 feet from the ultimate right-of-way of said street. Said ultimate right-of- way as indicated on the latest adopted Master Plan of Arterial Streets and Highways and any precise plan of street alignment shall prevail. _ S. 9730.17 Wall Requirements for Professional, Commercial and Industrial Uses. Any property used for professional, commercial or industrial purposes having a common property line with property zoned or used for residential purposes shall provide a six (6) inch wide solid masonry or concrete block wall on the professional, commercial or industrial side of the common property line. When such properties are separated by any easement or right-of-way,, less than 50 feet in width, the solid masonry ,or 'concrete block wall shall be constructed on the industrial, commercial or professional side of such easement. or right-of-way. The height of said wall shall be such that the top will be six (6) feet above the highest ground surface within twenty (20) feet of the common property line on the professional, commercial or . industrial side of said wall. Measurement shall be taken at any given. point along said wall. All walls shall conform tD the yard, requirements pertaining to fences, walls and hedges of the zone . in which said use is located and the provisions of Section 9786. Section 2. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage and adoption of this ordinance and shall cause the same to be published by one insertion in the Huntington BeachBeach News, a weekly newspaper printed, published and cir- culated in the City of Huntington Beach, California, and thirty days thereafter the same shall take effect and be in force. 2 C Ord.
