Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1448 ORDINANCE NO. 1448 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED 368 FEET SOUTH OF HAMILTON AVENUE AND 495 FEET EAST OF BUSHARD STREET (ZONE CHANGE CASE No. 68-27) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No. 68-27 wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED AS FOLLOWS : SECTION 1. The following described real property located 368 feet south of Hamilton Avenue and 495 feet east of Bushard Street , is hereby changed from R-2 , "Two-family Residence Dis- trict" to R-1, "Single-family Residence District : " A portion of the north half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 18, Township 6 South, Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51 , Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California. Beginning at the southwest corner of Tract No . 6332 , recorded in Book 237 , Pages 49 and 50 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California; thence north 00°23120" west along the west line of said Tract No. 6332 a distance of 251 .00 feet ; 1. thence south 89°36140" west and parallel to the north line of the southeast quarter of said Section 18 , a distance of 463 .73 feet more or less to the east line of a tract of land conveyed by H. D . Meyer to the City of Newport Beach by deed recorded August 7 , 1923 in Book 481, Page 276 of Deeds ; thence south 00038128" east along said east line, 261 .43 feet more or less to the north line of the south half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 18; thence north 89°36112" east along said north line and the north line of Tract No. 5017 , recorded in Book 239 , Pages 5 and 6 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California, a distance 825 . 01 feet more or less to the northeast corner of said Tract No . 5017 and a point in the east line of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of said Section 18 ; thence north 00°38 ' 54" west along last mentioned line, 10 . 32 feet more or less to a point in the south line of said Tract No . 6332 ; thence south 89°36140" west along the south line of said Tract No . 6332 a distance of 362. 39 feet more or less to the southwest corner of said Tract No. 6332 and the point of beginning. Contains 125 ,114 . 29 square feet , or 28722 acres . SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 20 (Sectional District Map 18-6-10) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 20 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 68-27 , effective November, 1968 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen 2 . days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
