Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1463 ORDINANCE NO . 1463 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF DELAWARE STREET AND FRANKFORT AVENUE (ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 68-39) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 68-39 wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The following described real property is hereby changed from R-2, "Two-family Residence District , " R-3, "Limited Multiple-family Residence District" and C-3, "General Business District" to R-5, "Office-Professional District : " That portion of the southeast quarter of Section 11, Township 6 South, Range 11 West , SBM, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, described as follows : Beginning at the centerline intersection of Delaware Street and Frankfort Avenue; thence southerly along the centerline of said Frankfort Avenue 510 feet , more or less , to its intersection with the westerly right of way line of the former Los Angeles Interurban Railway , being also the most southerly corner of the parcel of land in the southeast quarter of said southeast quarter presently zoned R-2, as shown on Section District Map DM 12 1 . of said City of Huntington Beach; thence northeasterly along the westerly right of way line of the former Los Angeles Interurban Railway, also being the south- easterly line of said R-2 land to its intersection with the southeasterly right of way line of said Frankfort Avenue; thence northwesterly at right angles to said right of way line 30 feet to said centerline of Frankfort Avenue ; thence southwesterly and westerly along said centerline to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 12 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No. 68-39, effective January, 1969 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 6th day of January, 1969 .
