Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1487 ORDINANCE NO. 1487 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF SPRINGDALE STREET APPROX- IMATELY 500 FEET SOUTH OF WARNER AVENUE WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No. 69-3 wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the real property, located on the west side of Springdale Street approximately five hundred (500) feet south of Warner Avenue, is hereby changed from C-4, "Highway Commercial District" to R-2, "Two-family Residence District" , is described as : That portion of the Northeast Quarter of Section 28, Township 5 South, Range 11 West , in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in book 51 page 13, of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the County Recorder of said Orange County, described as follows : Beginning at the Northeast corner of Tract 5790, as per map recorded in book 231 pages 9 to 11, inclusive , of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of said County Recorder; thence along the Northerly boundary of said Tract and of Tract 5331, as per map recorded in book 231 pages 15 to 17, inclusive, of Miscellaneous Maps , 5 89024125" W 1019 . 66 feet to its point of intersection with the Southeasterly right of way line of the land 1 . described in deed to the Orange County Flood Con- trot District , recorded in book 5646 page 935 of Official Records of said County, said point being in a non-tangent curve concave Northwesterly and having a radius of 2098 . 00 feet , a radial to said point bears S 62029 , 45" E; thence Northeasterly along said curve and right of way line 242 . 45 feet through a central angle of 6037 , 16" to a line that is parallel with and distant Northerly 220 feet, measured at right angles, from said Northerly boundary of Tract 5331; thence along said parallel line N 89024125" E 99 . 38 feet, to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Southwesterly having a radius of 45 feet ; thence Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 26033 ' 55" a distance of 20 . 86 feet; thence tangent to said curve S 64101 , 40" E 56 . 39 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve con- cave Northeasterly having a radius of 95 feet; thence Southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 26033 ' 55" distance of 44 . 05 feet ; thence tangent to said curve N 89024125" E 535 . 64 feet ; thence N 75022112" E 20 . 62 feet ; thence N 89024125" E 68 . 67 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave Northwesterly having a radius of 30 feet , which said curve is also tangent at its Northerly extrem- ity to aline that is parallel with and distant Westerly 50 feet, measured at right angles , from the East line of said Northeast Quarter; thence Northeast- erly along said curve through a central angle of 90°21111" a distance of 47 .31 feet to said parallel line; thence N 89003 , 14" E 50 . 00 feet to said East line; thence along said East line S 0°56146" E 215 . 50 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 33 (Sectional District Map 28-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 33 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 69-3, effective April, 1969 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days 2 .
