Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1542 ORDINANCE NO. 1542 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED 660 FEET NORTH OF BANNING AVENUE AND 660 FEET EAST OF BUSHARD STREET (ZONE CHANGE CASE 69-30) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 69-30 wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located 660 feet north of Banning Avenue and 660 feet east of Bushard Street is hereby changed from R-2 "Two Family Residence District" to R-1 "Single Family Residence District" : All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of Orange, City of Huntington Beach, described as follows : A portion of the Southwest quarter of the South- east quarter of Section 18, Township 6 South, Range 10 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas , as shown on a Map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County, California, described as follows : Beginning at the Northeast corner of said Southwest quarter; thence South 0037 ' 30" East , along the Easterly line of said Southwest quarter, 573 . 84 feet; thence South 89036 ' 3611 West, parallel with the Southerly line of said Southwest quarter, 38 . 88 feet 1 . to the beginning of a tangent curve, concave Southerly and having a radius of 200 . 00 feet ; thence Westerly, along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 2004612011 , a distance of 72 . 51 feet to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave Northerly and having a radius of 200 . 00 feet; thence Westerly along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 204612011 , a distance of 72 . 51 feet; thence South 89°36T36" West, parallel with the Southerly line of said Southwest quarter, 457 . 20 feet; thence North 0037 , 14" West , parallel with the Westerly line of said Southwest quarter, 599 . 97 feet to the Northerly line of said Southwest quarter; thence North 89037118" East along said Northerly line 638 . 00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 20 (Sectional District Ma 18-6-10) to incorporate the zone change described in p p Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 20 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No. 69-30, effective January , 1970 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
