Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1572 ORDINANCE NO . 1572 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF DETROIT STREET AND WEST OF THE NEW EXTENSION FOR DELAWARE STREET (ZONE CHANGE CASE NO . 69-35) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 69-35 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council , the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property located on the south side of Detroit Street and west of the new extension for Delaware Street , is hereby changed from R5 "Office-Professional District" and R2 "Two Family Residence District" to R3 "Limited Multiple Family Residence District . " "That portion of the Vista Del Mar Tract , Huntington Beach Section 2 , as per map recorded in book 4 , page 5 of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, and that portion of the southeast quarter of Section 11, Township 6 South, Range 11 West , in the Rancho Las Bolsas , as per map recorded in book 51, page 14 of said Miscellaneous Maps , and that portion of California Avenue, as vacated by resolution of the City Council of Huntington Beach, recorded March 8 , 1961 in book 5650 , page 640 , Official Records of said Orange County, all in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, described as follows : 1 . Beginning at the southwest corner of Lot 1 in Block 203 of said Vista Del Mar Tract ; thence north 00 43 ' 00' west 108 . 00 feet along the westerly line of said lot and its northerly prolongation to the southwest corner of Lot 5 in said Block 203 ; thence north 891 18 ' 25" east 54 . 66 feet along the south line of said lot ; thence north 250 391 22t1 east 158 .62 feet ; thence north 890 17 ' 45" east 62 . 41 feet to the easterly line of said California Avenue ; thence north 01 43 ' 0011 west 121.94 feet along said easterly line to a point on a non- tangent curve concave southeasterly having a radius of 1950 . 08 feet , a radial to said point bears north 620 021 4111 west ; thence northeasterly 129 . 39 feet along said curve through a central angle of 31 48 ' 06"; thence north 00 43 ' 00" west 116 . 90 feet to the southerly line of Detroit Avenue; as shown on said map of Vista Del Mar Tract; thence north 890 161 4011 east 229 . 20 feet along said southerly line; thence north 00 43 ' 00/1 west 17 .75 feet ; thence north 890 441 00" east 90 . 46 feet ; thence south 01 43 ' 0011 east 656 . 51 feet ; thence south 891 401 43" west 385 . 59 feet to the southerly prolongation of the easterly line of said California Avenue; thence north 00 43 ' 00t1 west 36 . 38 feet along said prolongation to the easterly prolongation of the south line of said Lot 1; thence south 891 18 ' 50" west 187 . 41 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Hunting- ton Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section l hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby , is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061 , District Map 12 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 69-35 , effective May, 1970 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage 2 . of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
