Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1580 ORDINANCE NO. i580 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 12 TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN 70-2, EFFECTING A PRECISE STREET ALIGNMENT FOR THE SOUTHERLY EXTENSION OF DELAWARE STREET BETWEEN FRANKFORT AVENUE AND ATLANTA AVENUE WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, particularly Government Code Section 65351 et seq . , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, on March 3 , 1970, after notice duly given, held a public hear- ing relative to Precise Plan No . 70-2 to effect a precise street alignment for the southerly extension of Delaware Street between Frankfort Avenue and Atlanta Avenue; and On March 16, 1970, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council on the proposed street alignment , and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that the alignment for the southerly extension of Delaware Street between Frankfort Avenue and Atlanta Avenue is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community . NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Hunting- ton Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . That the property hereinafter described and shown on the map designated Exhibit "A" hereto attached, incorporated herein and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby adopted as Precise Plan No. 70-2 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2 . District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No . 70-2 , aligning the southerly extension of Delaware Street , between Frankfort Avenue and Atlanta Avenue . SECTION 3 . The precise alignment for Delaware Street 1 . Ord. 1580 between Frankfort Avenue and Atlanta Avenue , as shown on the map designated Exhibit "A, " amending Sectional District Map 11-6-11, is hereinafter more particularly descrribed and shall be as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the northerly extension of the easterly line of Block 504 of Vista Del Mar Tract , Huntington Beach, Section Two, and the center line of Frankfort Street , 60 . 00 feet in width as now laid out , all shown on a map of said tract recorded in Book 4, Page 5 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of Orange County, California; thence south 01 411 3511 east 440 . 00 feet along the easterly line of said Block 504 and its northerly and southerly extensions and the easterly line of Block 404 of said tract to a point on a tangent curve concave to . the northeast , having a radius of 1050 . 00 feet ; thence leaving said easterly line of Block 404 and following along said curve southeasterly 317 .01 feet through a central angle of 170 171 5411 to a point of reverse curvature with a curve concave to the south- west having a radius of 950 . 00 feet ; thence southeast- erly 286 . 81 feet along said curve through a central angle of 170 171 5411 to a point on a tangent line; thence south 01 41 ' 35" east 65 .36 feet along said line to a point ; thence south 21 02 ' 0011 west 210 .23 feet to a point ; thence south 00 41 ' 3511 east 349 .64 feet to a point on the south line of the southeast one-quarter (SE 1/4) of Section 11, Township 6 South, Range 11 West , San Bernardino Base and Meridian; distant on said line north 891 43 ' 0011 east 1355 . 57 feet from the southwest corner of said -southeast one-quarter (SE 1/4 ) , said line being the centerline of Atlanta Avenue 60 . 00 feet in width as now laid out; thence north 891 43 ' 0011 east 100 . 00 feet along said line to a point ; thence north 00 41' 35" west 350 .36 feet to a point ; thence north 30 25 ' 1011 west 210 . 23 feet to a point ; thence north 00 41 ' 35" west 65 . 36 feet to a point on a tangent curve, concave to the southwest having a radius of 1050 .00 feet ; thence northwesterly 317 . 01 feet along said curve through a central angle of 170 17 ' 54" to a point of reverse curvature with a curve concave to the northeast having a radius of 950 . 00 feet ; thence northwesterly 286 . 81 feet along said curve through a central angle of 170 171 5411 to a point on a tangent line , said line being parallel with and 80. 00 feet easterly, measured at right angles , from the easterly line of the before mentioned Block 404; thence north 01 411 35" west 440 . 00 feet along 2 .
