Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1613 ORDINANCE NO. 1613 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 26 TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN NO. 70-5, EFFECTING A PRECISE STREET ALIGNMENT FOR PARKSIDE LANE BETWEEN EDINGER AVENUE AND ALDRICH STREET WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, particularly Government Code Section 65351 et seq. , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, on August 18, 1970, after notice duly given, held a public hearing relative to Pre- cise Plan No. 70-5 to effect a precise street alignment for Parkside Lane between Edinger Avenue and Aldrich Street ; and On September 28, 1970, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council on the proposed street alignment, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that the align- ment for Parkside Lane between Edinger Avenue and Aldrich Street is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the property hereinafter described and shown on the map designated Exhibit "A" hereto attached, incor- porated herein and made a part hereof by reference, is hereby adopted as Precise Plan No. 70-5 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2 . District Map 26 (Sectional District Map 23-5--11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No . 70-5, aligning Parkside Lane between Edinger Avenue and Aldrich Street. SECTION 3 . The precise alignment for Parkside Lane between 1 . Edinger Avenue and Aldrich Street , as shown on the map designated Exhibit "A, " amending Sectional District Map 23-5-11, is herein- after more particularly described and shall be as follows : That portion of the northeast one-quarter of the north- east one-quarter of Section 23, Township 5 South, Range 11 West , San Bernardino Base and Meridian as shown on map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California described as follows : Beginning at the northwest corner of Lot 59 of Tract No . 417 as shown on a map recorded in Book 16, page 47 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of said county; thence north 0044125" west 397 .91 feet along the northerly prolongation of the west line of said Lot 59 and the westerly line of Lot 24 and Lot 23 of said Tract 417 to a point on a tangent curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 32 . 00 feet ; thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90009 '15" an arc distance of 50 . 35 feet to a point on a tangent line parallel with and 50. 00 feet southerly , measured at right angles from the north line of said northeast one-quarter, said line Being the southerly right of way line of Edinger Avenue; thence south 89024 ' 50" west 124 . 00 feet along said line to a point on a tan- gent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 32 .00 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 89050 , 45" an arc distance of 50. 18 feet to a point on a tangent line parallel with and 60 . 00 feet westerly, measured at right angles , from the west line of said Lot 23; thence south 0044125" east 398 . 09 feet along said line to a point on the westerly prolongation of the northerly line of said Lot 59 distant south 89024 ' 50" west 60 . 00 feet from the northwest corner of said Lot 59; thence north 89024 '50" east 60 . 00 feet along said line to the point of beginning. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
