HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1624 ORDINANCE NO. 1624 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF BROOKHURST STREET AND ATLANTA AVENUE WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No. 70-23 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and• all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The following described real property , located on the northwest corner of Brookhurst Street and Atlanta Avenue , is hereby changed from RA-0 , "Residential Agricultural District combined with Oil Production" , to R5 , "Office Professional District : " Beginning at the center line intersection of Brookhurst Street and Atlanta Avenue ; Thence , North 0034 ' 50" West along the center line of Brookhurst Street , 230 feet ; thence , South 89025 '10" West , 233 feet ; thence , South 0022 ' 37" East , 230 feet to the center line of Atlanta Avenue ; thence, North 89035 ' 35" East , 233 feet to the point of beginning. EXCEPTING the east 60 feet and south 50 feet thereof. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 7 (Section District Map 7-6-10) to incorporate the zone change described in -1- Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map, as amended, hereby , is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 7 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 70-23 , effective March, 1971 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the lst day of February, 1971 .
