Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1632 ORDINANCE NO . 1632 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAPS 27 AND 31 TO IN- CLUDE PRECISE PLAN NO. 70-8 , EFFECTING A PRE- CISE STREET ALIGNMENT FOR WARNER AVENUE AT BEACH BOULEVARD WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, particularly Government Code Section 65351 et seq. , the Plan- ning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, on November 3 , 1970 , after notice duly given, held a public hearing rela- tive to Precise Plan No . 70-8 to effect a precise street alignment for the southerly right of way of Warner Avenue at Beach Boulevard; and On December 7 , 1970 , after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council on the proposed street alignment , and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that the alignment for Warner Avenue , twenty (20 ) feet to the south, - , a distance of five hundred (500) feet west and 950 feet east of Beach Boulevard , is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community , NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the maps designated Exhibits "A" and "B" hereto attached, incorporated herein and made a part hereof by ref- erence is hereby designated and adopted as Precise Plan No. 70-8 of the City of Huntington Beach . SECTION 2 , District Maps 27 and 31 (Sectional District Maps 24-5-11 and 26-5-11 respectively ) are hereby amended to include 1 Precise Plan No. 70-8 , aligning the southerly right of way of Warner Avenue twenty (20 ) feet to the south , for a distance of five hundred (500 ) feet west and 950 feet east of Beach Boule- vard . SECTION 3 . The precise alignment for Warner Avenue , as shown on the maps designated Exhibits "A" and "B," amending Sectional District Maps 24-5-11 and 26-5-11 , is hereinafter more particular- ly described and shall be as follows : Those portions of Sections 23 , 24 , 25 and 26 , all in Township 5 South , Range 11 West , San Bernardino Base and Meridian, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County , California, described as follows : A strip of land 120 .00 feet in width, 60 . 00 feet measured at right angles , either side of the fol- lowing-described center line : Beginning at a point on the north line of said Section 25 distant easterly 929 . 20 feet along said north line from the northwest corner of said Section 25 , said point also lies on a curve , tangent to said north line , concave to the south- east having a radius of 1,600 .00 feet ; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 6024 ' 33" an arc distance of 178 .99 feet to a point on a tangent reverse curve concave to the northwest having a radius of 1,600 .00 feet ; thence southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 6°24 ' 33" an arc distance of 178 .99 feet to a point on a tangent line para- llel with and 20 .00 feet southerly measured at right angles from the north line of said Section 25 ; thence westerly along said parallel line to a point on the west line of said Section 25 ; thence westerly 140 .00 feet along a line parallel with and 20 .00 feet southerly measured at right angles from the north line of said Section 26 to a point on a tangent curve concave to the northeast , having a radius of 1,600 .00 feet ; thence northwesterly along said curve , through a central angle of 6024 ' 33" an arc dis- tance of 178 .99 feet to a point on a tangent reverse curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 1,600 .00 feet ; thence northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 6024133" an arc distance of 178 .99 feet to a 2 . point on a tangent line , said line being the north line of said Section 263, said point being the terminus of the described center line . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Hunting- ton Beach, California.
