HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1643 ORDINANCE NO. 1643 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY AT THE FOLLOWING LOCATIONS : THE WEST SIDE OF INTER- SECTION OF BROOKHURST AND BUSHARD STREETS ; 660 FEET NORTH OF INTERSECTION OF BROOKHURST AND BUSHARD STREETS ; WEST SIDE OF GOLDENWEST STREET, SOUTH OF WESTERLY EXTENSION OF ACACIA AVENUE; AND 200 FEET NORTH AND EAST OF INTER- SECTION OF GOLDENWEST STREET AND PALM AVENUE (ZONE CHANGE NO. 71-1) WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law , the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-1 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The real properties , located on the west side of the intersection of Brookhurst and Bushard Streets and 660 feet north of the intersection of Brookhurst and Bushard Streets , more particularly described in Ordinance No . 1606 , are hereby changed from RA-01, "Residential Agricultural District" combined with oil production to RA-0, "Residential Agricultural District" combined with oil production. SECTION 2 . The real property , located on the west side of Goldenwest Street and south of the westerly extension of Acacia Avenue, more particularly described in Ordinance No . 16o6 , is hereby changed from M2-02 , "Heavy Industrial District" combined 1 . with oil production to M2-01, "Heavy Industrial District" com- bined with oil production. SECTION 3 . The following described real property, located approximately 200 feet north and east of the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Palm Avenue , is hereby changed from R1-0 , "Family-residence District" combined with oil production to R1-01, "Single-family Residence District" combined with oil production : Beginning at the intersection of Goldenwest and Palm Avenue where monument is set , thence south 48121127" east 265 feet to a point on the center line of Palm Avenue; thence north 41038 ' 50" east 385 feet to the true point of beginning; thence north 41°38 ' 50t1 east 200 feet ; thence south 48021110" east 310 feet ; thence south 41°38 ' 50" west 200 feet ; thence north 48021110" west 310 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 4 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 22 (Sectional District Map 19-6-10 ) and District Map 3 (Sectional District Map 3-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Sec- tions 1, 2 and 3 hereof, and as said district maps shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district maps , as amended hereby, are available for in- spection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 5 . Section 9061, District Maps 22 and 3 , is here- by amended by Zone Change No . 71-1, effective June , 1971 . SECTION 6 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fif- teen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Hunt- ington Beach, California.
