HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1644 ORDINANCE NO. 1644 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF EDWARDS STREET, SOUTH OF SLATER AVENUE (ZONE CHANGE NO . 71-2) WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-2 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The following described real property , located west side of Edwards Street , approximately one hundred feet south of the center line of Slater Avenue , is hereby changed from RA, "Residential-agricultural District" to Rl , "Single- family Residence District : " Block E of Tract No . 281 in the City of Hunt- ington Beach, County of Orange , State of Cali- fornia, as per map recorded in Book 13 , page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the County Recorder of said county . EXCEPT the easterly 40 .00 feet thereof. ALSO EXCEPT the southerly 30 .00 feet thereof. ALSO EXCEPT that portion thereof lying south- easterly of a curve concave to the northwest having a radius of 32 .00 feet being tangent to the south to the north line of the south 1 . 30 .00 feet of said Lot E and being tangent to the east to the west line of the east 40 . 00 feet of said Lot E . AND The north 30 acres of the northeast quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 27 , Township 5 South, Range 11 West , in the San Bernardino Meridian, County of Orange , State of California. EXCEPT therefrom all of Tract No . 281, as per map recorded in Book 13 , page 50 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county . ALSO EXCEPT the north 80 .00 feet of the east 440 .10 feet of said northeast quarter of the southwest quarter not included within Slater Avenue right of way and Edwards Street right of way . SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 32 (Sectional District Map 27-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map , as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 32 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-2 , effective June , 1971 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, Cali- fornia.
