HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1655 ORDINANCE NO . 1655 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST .CORNER OF ADAMS AVENUE AND ALABAMA STREET AND THE WEST SIDE OF HUNTINGTON STREET, SOUTH OF ADAMS AVENUE (ZONE CHANGE NO . 71-10 ) WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Hunting ton Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-10 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the. Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The following described real property, located at the southeast corner of Adams Avenue and Alabama Street and the west side of Huntington Street, 150 feet south of Adams Avenue, is hereby changed from R3-0 , "Limited Multiple-family Residence District" combined with oil production to C4 , "High- way Commercial District : " Lots 2 , 4 , 6 , 8 , 10 , 12 , 15 , 17 , and 19 , Tract 73 , City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section l hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a 1. part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 12 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-10 , effective August , 1971. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall _take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify. to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be _published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach , Cali- fornia.
