HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1657 ORDINANCE NO . 1657 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY BOUNDED BY GARFIELD AVENUE ON THE NORTH, THE CITY LIMITS ON THE EAST, INDIANAPOLIS AVENUE ON THE SOUTH, AND BEACH BOULEVARD ON THE WEST (ZONE CHANGE NO. 71-12) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-12 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The subject property, a portion of Study Area "A, " is bounded on the north by Garfield Avenue, the city limits on the east, Indianapolis Avenue on the south, and Beach Boule- vard on the west . Such property is changed as follows : from RA, "Residential Agricultural District" to Rl, "Single-family Residential District; " RA, "Residential Agricultural District" and R5, "Office-Professional District" to MH, "Mobilehome Dis- trict ; " RA-0, "Residential Agricultural District " combined with oil production to Rl, "Single-family Residential District ; and RA-01, "Residential Agricultural District " combined with oil production to R1-01, "Single-family Residential District" com- bined with oil production, as is more specifically set forth on the sectional district maps attached hereto and made a part here- of as though set forth fully herein. 1. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 1 (Sectional Dis- trict Map 1-6-11) ; District Map 5 (Sectional District Map 5-6-10) ; District Map 6 (Sectional District Map 6-6-10) ; and District Map 13 (Sectional District Map 12-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section l hereof, and as said district maps shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district maps , as amended hereby, are available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061 is hereby amended by Zone Change No . 71-12, effective October, 1971. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, Cali- fornia.
