HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1683 ORDINANCE NO. 1683 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9163. 3 PERTAINING TO REAR YARD REQUIREMENTS FOR DWELLINGS IN R2 ZONE The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby amended by amending Section 9163 . 3 to read as follows : 9163. 3 . REAR YARD. The minimum rear yard shall be ten (10) feet except as provided in Sections 9163 . 4 through 9163. 4 . 4, 9166 . 5, and 9166 . 5. 1. Said rear yard shall be sub- ject to all provisions of Section 9163 . However, that por- tion of a two-story dwelling which is constructed over a garage or carport adjacent to an alley may set back ten (10) feet from the center line of such alley or it may extend to the property line, whichever is more restrictive . SECTION 2 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and ,cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
