Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1690 ORDINANCE NO . 1690 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 30 TO INCLUDE PRE- CISE PLAN NO. 71-4 TO PROVIDE A FIVE-FOOT SETBACK LINE AND ADDITIONAL FIVE-FOOT RIGHT OF WAY ON THE EASTERLY LINE OF EXISTING ALLEY BE- TWEEN BEACH BOULEVARD AND "A" STREET ON THE SOUTH SIDE OF WARNER AVENUE WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, particularly Government Code Sections 65351 et seq . , the Plan- ning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, on September 21 , 1971,after notice duly given, held a public hearing relative to Precise Plan No . 71-4 to establish a five-foot setback line and provide an additional five feet of right of way along the easterly line of the existing alley between Beach Boulevard and "A" Street on the south side of Warner Avenue ; and On October 18 , 1971, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council on the proposed precise plan, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that said Pre- cise Plan No . 71-4 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community , NOW, THEREFORE , the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the map designated Exhibit "A" hereto attached, in- corporated herein and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby designated and adopted as Precise Plan No . 71-4 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2 . District Map 30 (Sectional District Map 25-5-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No . 71-4 , to establish 1. a five-foot setback line and add five feet of right of way along the easterly line of the existing alley between Beach Boulevard and "A" Street on the south side of Warner Avenue . SECTION 3 . The precise plan as shown on the map designated Exhibit "A," amending Sectional District Map 25-5-11, is herein- after more particularly described and shall be as follows : Beginning at the Northwest corner of Section 25, Township 5 South, Range 11, West , San Bernardino Base and Meridian; thence North 89026 ' 15" East 148 .00 feet along the north line of said Section 25 to its intersection with the northerly exten- sion of the west line of an alley 15 .00 feet in width, as shown on a map of Tract 297 recorded in Book 14 , Page 24 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County, California; thence South 0044 , 45" East 80 .00 feet along the west line and its northerly extension of said alley to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING: thence continuing South 0044 ' 45" East 550 .00 feet along the west line of said alley to a point on the northerly line of Blaylock Drive (formerly Blaylock Place) as shown on said map of Tract 298 ; thence North 89026115" East 20 .00 feet along the northerly line of Blaylock Drive to its intersection with a line parallel with and 5 .00 feet easterly, measured at right angles from the east line of the before mentioned alley; thence North 0044 , 45" West 550 .00 feet along said parallel line to a point ; thence South 89026 ' 15" West 20 .00 feet to the TRUE POINT OF BEGINNING. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Hunting- ton Beach, California.
