Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1698 ORDINANCE NO . 1698 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF SPRINGDALE STREET, 350 ' FEET SOUTH OF HEIL AVENUE ( ZONE CASE NO. 71-20 , AREA "I") WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-20 , Area "I" wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . The following described real property, located on the west side of Springdale Street , approximately 350 feet south of Heil Avenue, is changed from RA, "Residential Agri- cultural District" to Rl, "Single-family Residence District : " That portion of the east half of the northeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 21, Township 5 South, Range 11 West , S .B .B .&M. , beginning at the northeast corner of Tract No . 4243 , as said tract is shown on a map filed in Book 162, pages 49 and 50 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County, said corner being on the easterly line of Section 21, thence south 89015144" west , along the northerly line of said Tract No . 4243, 490 .00 feet to the northwesterly corner of Lot 7 of said Tract No . 4243 , thence north 0044 , 16" west 184 . 34 feet to the beginning of a curve , concave westerly and having a radius of 230 .00 feet , thence northerly 37 . 35 feet along the arc of said curve through a 1 . central angle of 9018 ' 13" to the beginning of a re- verse curve, concave southeasterly and having a radius of 145 .00 feet ; thence northeasterly 124 . 80 feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 49118 ' 58" to the beginning of a reverse curve, concave northwesterly and having a radius of 205 .00 feet , thence northeasterly 89 . 42 feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 24°59 ' 37" to a point on a curve , concave north- easterly and having a radius of 25 .00 feet; thence northwesterly 15 . 23 feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 34°54 ' 52" to the be- ginning of a reverse curve, concave westerly and having a radius of 200 . 00 feet; thence northerly 38 . 45 feet along the arc of said curve through a central angle of 11°00 ' 59" to a tangent line bearing north 0°44116" west ; thence north 0044 ' 16" west , along said tangent line 34 . 00 feet; thence north 89015144" east , parallel with the northerly line of said Tract No . 4243 , 418 .00 feet to the easterly line of said Section 21; thence south 0044116" east along said easterly line, 504 . 00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 22 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 24 (Sectional District Map 21-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map , as amended hereby , is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 24 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-20 , Area "I, " effective Janu- ary , 1972 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach , Cali- fornia.
