Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1709 ORDINANCE NO. 1709 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY SURROUND- ING HUNTINGTON CENTRAL PARK (ZONE CHANGE CASE NO. 71-17) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-17 wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property surround- ing Huntington Central Park is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District" to C4-CD, "Highway Commercial Civic District; " from RA, "Residential Agricultural District" to RA-CD, "Resi- dential Agricultural Civic District, " and RA-0, "Residential Agricultural District" combined with oil production to RA-0-CD, "Residential Agricultural Civic District" combined with oil pro- duction; from Rl, "Single-family Residence District" to Rl-CD, "Single-family Residential Civic District ; " from R5, "Office-Pro- fessional District" to R5-CD, "Office-Professional Civic District; " and from Ml, "Light Industrial District" and Ml-0, "Light Indus- trial District" combined with oil production to Ml-CD, "Light Industrial Civic District" and Ml-O-CD, "Light Industrial Civic District" combined with oil production: Beginning at the intersection of the centerlines of 1. Q Edwards Street and Talbert Avenue; thence, south along the centerline of Edwards Avenue to the centerline of Inlet Drive; thence, east along the centerline of Inlet Drive to the centerline of Lakeview Drive; thence, northeasterly along the centerline of Lakeview Drive to the centerline of Cliffview Lane; thence north along the centerline of Cliffview Lane to the centerline of Talbert Avenue; thence, north 1320 feet; thence, east 1320 feet to the centerline of Goldenwest Street; thence, north 1760 . 1 feet; thence, east approximately 1980 feet to the centerline of Gothard Avenue; thence, south 440 . 1 feet to the centerline of Slater Avenue; thence, east 660 feet more or less to the centerline of Section 26, Township 5 South, Range 11 West; thence, south 3628.7 feet; thence, west 660 feet more or less to the centerline of Gothard Street; thence, south 1642 feet more or less to the centerline of Ellis Avenue; thence, south- easterly along the centerline of Gothard Street for a distance of 500 feet more or less , which point lies 400 feet south of the centerline of Ellis Avenue; thence, west 650 feet more or less to a point 1640 feet east of the centerline of Goldenwest Street; thence, south 220 feet more or less; thence 170 feet west; thence, south 300 feet more or less; thence west 150 feet more or less; thence, north 260 feet more or less; thence west 660 feet; thence, south 330 feet; thence, west 660 feet to the centerline of Goldenwest Street; thence south 330 feet more or less; thence, west 660 feet along the south line of Lot A, Tract 62; thence, north 330 feet; thence, west 330 feet; thence, south 330 feet; thence, west 330 feet; thence, north 404 feet; thence, west 330 feet, thence, north 256 feet; thence, west 990 feet to the center- line of Edwards Avenue; thence north along the center- line of Edwards Avenue 330 feet; thence, west 1000 feet; thence, north 2970 feet more or less to the centerline of Talbert Avenue; thence, east 1000 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 31 (Sectional District Map 26-5-11) , District Map 32 (Sectional District Map 27-5-11) , District Map 38 (Sectional District Map 34-5-11) and District Map 39 (Sectional District Map 35-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said dis- trict maps shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance 2 . Code . Copies of said district maps , as amended hereby, are available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Maps 31, 32, 38 and 39 thereof, are hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-17, effective February, 1972 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Hunting- ton Beach, California.
