Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #1718 ORDINANCE NO. 1718 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE OF GOLDENWEST STREET, NORTH OF EDINGER AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 71-41) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No. 71-41 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located on the west side of Goldenwest Street, 135 feet north of Edinger Avenue, is -hereby changed from R5, "Office-Professional District" to C4, "Community Business District : " PARCEL 1 : That portion of the southeast quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows : Beginning at the southeast corner of said Sec- tion 15, said point being the intersections of the center lines of Goldenwest Street and Smeltzer Avenue; thence north 89145 ' 50" west along the south line of said Section 15, 200 . 00 feet; thence north parallel with the east line of said Section 15, 50 . 00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing north along said parallel line, 379 . 25 1. feet; thence south 89045 ' 50" east parallel with the south line of said Section 15, 158 . 00 feet to a point that is 50 . 00 feet westerly, measured at right angles to the east line of said Section 15; thence south parallel with said east line, 244 . 25 feet to the north line of the south 185 . 00 feet of said Section 15; thence north 89045 ' 50" west parallel with the south line of said Section 15, 138 . 00 feet to the west line of the east 188. 00 feet of said Section 15; thence south parallel with the east line of said Section 15, 135 . 00 feet to a point that is north 50 . 00 feet, measured at right angles to the south line of said Section 15; thence north 89145 ' 50" west parallel with said last mentioned south line, 20 . 00 feet to the true point of beginning. Said land is included within the area shown on a map filed in Book 27, page 21 of Record of Surveys in the office of the County Recorder of said county . PARCEL 2 : An easement for ingress and egress over the following described land: That portion of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia as per map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Re- corder of said county, described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the west line of the east 50 . 00 feet of said Section 15 with the north line of the south 185 . 00 feet thereof; thence west 15 . 00 feet along said north line; thence northeasterly in a direct line to a point on the west line of the east 50 . 00 feet of said Section 15, north 15 . 00 feet from a point of beginning; thence south 15 .00 to the point of beginning. PARCEL 3 : An easement for ingress and egress over the following described land: That portion of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of Cali- fornia, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Re- corder of said county, described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the north line of the south 50 . 00 feet of said Section 15 with the 2.` west line of the east 188 . 00 feet thereof; thence north 15 . 00 feet along said west line; thence southwesterly in a direct line to a point on the north line of the south 50 . 00 feet of said Section 15, west 20 . 00 feet from said west line; thence east 20 . 00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 17 (Sectional District Map 15-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 17 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-41, effective March, 1972 . SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, Cali- fornia.
