HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1723 ORDINANCE NO. 1723 AN .ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHWEST CORNER OF GRAHAM STREET AND SLATER AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 71-45) WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Change Case No . 71-45 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located on the southwest corner of the prolongation of Graham Street and Slater Avenue , is hereby changed from RA, "Residential Agricul- tural District" to R2-PD-14 , "Two-family Residence Planned Resi- dential Development District : " That portion of Section 28 , Township 5 South, Range 11 West , in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, County of Orange , State of California, as said section is indicated on a map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the County Re- corder of said county , described as follows : Beginning at the intersection of the center lines of Slater Avenue and Graham Street , also being the center of said Section 28 ; thence along the easterly line of the northwest quarter of Section 28 , north 0057123" west 40 .00 feet to a point on a line para- llel with and 40 .00 feet northerly of the southerly 1 . line of said northwest quarter; thence along said parallel line south 89°15102" west 1259 .94 feet to the westerly line of that certain parcel described in deed to the City of Huntington Beach, recorded in Book 8750, page 631 of Official Records of said county; thence along said westerly line north 0°44 ' 58" west 60 . 68 feet to the southeasterly line of that certain strip of land, 196 . 00 feet in width, of the Orange County Flood Control District as de- scribed in an easement deed recorded in Book 7091, page 32 of Official Records of said county; thence along said southeasterly line, south 62°31 ' 47" west 650 . 00 feet; thence south 45000100" east 1920 . 00 feet; thence north 46°35 ' 30" east 310 . 00 feet; thence north 22045 ' 30" east 510 . 00 feet to the westerly line of said southeast quarter of Section 28; thence along last said westerly line, north 0034 ' 30" west 860 . 00 feet to the point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 33 (Sectional District Map 28-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said dis- trict map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 33 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Change Case No . 71-45, effective March, 1972 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of gen- eral circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, Cali- fornia.
