HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1734 ORDINANCE NO. 1734 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF THE SOUTHERN PACIFIC RAILROAD RIGHT OF WAY, BORDERED ON THE SOUTH BY SOUTHERN CALI- FORNIA EDISON RIGHT OF WAY, THE CITY LIMITS ON THE EAST, AND THE SAN DIEGO FREEWAY ON THE NORTHEAST (ZONE CASE NO. 71-48 AREA "B" ) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No . 71-48 Area "B" wherein both bodies have carefully con- sidered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located approximately 650 feet east of the Southern Pacific Railroad right of way and bordered on the south by the Southern Cali- fornia Edison right of way which is north of the Huntington Center, by the city limits to the east and the San Diego Free- way to the northeast , is hereby changed from Rl, "Single-family Residential District" to RA, "Residential Agricultural District : " Starting at the intersection of the east line of the west half of the northwest quarter of the south- east quarter of Section 14, Township 5 South, Range 11 West and the center line of McFadden Avenue, thence south 89032139" east 28 . 36 feet to a radian of bearings north 0027 ' 11" east thence easterly along the center line of McFadden Avenue a concave curve having a radius of 588 feet through an 1. angle of 26020 ' 39" for a distance of 270 . 35 feet to a radian of bearings south 260 47 ' 46" west thence south 63012 , 14" east 159 .64 feet along the center line of McFadden Avenue to a radian of bear- ings north 26047 ,46" east thence easterly along the center line of McFadden Avenue a convex curve having a radius of 1000 feet through an angle of 13°54 ' 56" for a distance of 242 . 87 feet to a radian of bear- ings north 12052150" east being the true point of beginning; thence easterly along the center line of McFadden Avenue a convex curve having a radius of 1000 feet through an angle of 14032 ' 07" for a dis- tance of- 253. 688 feet to a point at the intersection of the center line of McFadden Avenue and the center line of the San Diego Freeway, thence south 49°25 '31" west along the San Diego Freeway right of way 535 . 34 feet to the east line of the east half of the north- west quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 14 , Township 5 South, Range 11 West, thence south 0016126" west 740 . 00 feet to the south line of the east half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 14 , Township 5 South, Range 11 west, thence north 89031 ' 06" west 660 . 20 feet to the west line of the east half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 14 , Township 5 South, Range 11 West, thence north 0016126"east 1107 . 41 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 15 (Sectional District Map 14-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk . SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 15 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No . 71-48 Area "B, " effective May, 1972 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly news- 2 . paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
