HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1761 ORDINANCE NO . 1761 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED EAST OF INTERSECTION OF GOLDENWEST STREET AND PALM AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 72-16, ISLAND "G" ) WHEREAS, pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 72-16, Island "G" wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located 439 feet east of the intersection of Goldenwest Street and Palm Avenue, is hereby changed from R1-0 to Rl—ol, and from R1-01 to Rl-0, "Single-family Residence District" combined with oil production: Those portions of Lots A and B of Tract No . 260 in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 13, page 34 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, to- gether with that portion of Wesley Avenue as shown on the map of said Tract No . 260, vacated by reso- lution of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach, a copy of which was recorded September 12 , 1966 in Book 8o44 , page 78 of Official Records of said county, and portions of Parcels 1, 2, 3 and 4 of a parcel map recorded in Book 40, page 40 of Parcel Maps in the office of the County Recorder of 1. said county, more particularly described as follows : WELL ISLAND "G: " Beginning at the center line intersection of Palm Avenue and Goldenwest Street as said intersection is shown on the above said maps ; thence northeasterly along the center line of Golden- west Street north 41038 ' 50" east 511. 98 feet; thence south 48020 ' 36" east 214 . 75 feet to the true point of beginning; thence north 41041 ' 59" east 70 . 00 feet; thence south 48020 ' 36" east 355 . 00 feet; thence south 41°41 ' 59" west 200 . 00 feet; thence north 48120 '36" west 355 . 00 feet; thence north 41141' S9" east 130 . 00 feet to the true point of beginning, containing 1. 630 acres . SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 3 (Sectional District Map 3-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall remain in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 3 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No . 72-16, Island "G, " effective August, 1972 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
