HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1768 ORDINANCE NO. 1768 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 39 TO INCLUDE PRE- CISE PLAN NO. 72-6 WHEREAS , pursuant to the Conservation and Planning Law, particularly Government Code Sections 65351 et seq. , the Plan- ning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing on June 6 , 1972 , relative to Precise Plan No. 72-6 to realign Ellis Avenue between Hunting- ton and Gothard Streets to a more southerly alignment , and al- low Ellis Avenue to pass under the Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks , within Tentative Tract No. 7601; and On July 3 , 1972 , after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council on the proposed precise plan, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that said Precise Plan No. 72-6 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and ef- ficient flow of traffic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly devel- opment of the community, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does hereby ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the map designated Exhibit "A" hereto attached, in- corporated herein and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby designated and adopted as Precise Plan No. 72-6 of the City of Huntington Beach . SECTION 2 . District Map 39 (Sectional District Map 35-5-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No . 72-6 , to realign Ellis Avenue between Huntington and Gothard Streets to a more southerly alignment , and allow Ellis Avenue to pass under the Southern Pacific Railroad Tracks , within Tentative Tract No . 7601 . 1 . SECTION 3 . The precise plan, as shown on the map designated as Exhibit "A, " amending Sectional District Map 35-5-11, is hereinafter more particularly described and shall be as follows : That portion of Section 35 , Township 5 South, Range 11 West , San Bernardino, Base and Meridian in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange , State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the County Recorder of said County described as follows : A strip of land 80 .00 feet in width, 40 .00 feet either side measured at right angles , from the follow- ing described centerline . Beginning at a point on the East-West quarter section line being distant East 704 .66 feet from the center of said Section 35; said point being the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the Southeast having a radius of 1000 .00 feet ; thence Southwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 19026118" an arc distance of 339 .26 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave to the Northwest having a radius of 1000 .00 feet ; thence Westerly along said curve through a central angle of 38052 ' 36" an arc distance of 678 .53 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave to the Southwest having a radius of 1000 .00 feet; thence Northwesterly along said curve through a central angle of 19026118" an arc distance of 339 .26 feet to a point on the East-West quarter section line; thence along said line 33 .90 feet to the terminus of said described centerline . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach , California.
