AN EMERGENCY ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON
BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 1022 THEREOF, PERTAINING TO
THE LOCATION OF THE CIVIC CENTER
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby
amended by amending Section 1022 to read as follows :
1022 . LOCATION OF CIVIC CENTER. Those certain municipal
buildings in the City of Huntington Beach and within the area
bounded by Mansion Avenue on the north, Main Street on the west ,
and Seventeenth Street on the southeast shall be the Civic Center
of the City of Huntington Beach.
SECTION 2 . This ordinance is declared an emergency ordi-
nance, pursuant to Sections 511 and 514(c ) of the City Charter,
due to the fact that the Civic Center is to be moved to the
above location on March 25, 1974 . This ordinance shall take
effect immediately upon its adoption.
SECTION 3. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of
this ordinance and shall cause same to be published within
fifteen days of its passage in the Huntington Beach News, a
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in
Huntington Beach, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th
day of March, 1974.

Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 18th day
of March 19 74 , and was passed and adopted by at least
five (5) affirmative votes of said City Council.
