AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE
FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED
AT THE WEST END OF PALM AVENUE APPROXIMATELY
2000 FEET WEST OF GOLDENWEST STREET (ZONE CASE
NO. 73-31)
WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law,
the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach
City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone
Case No. 73-31 wherein both bodies have carefully considered
all information presented at said hearings , and after due con-
sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning
Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the
City Council finds that such zone change is proper,
NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington
Beach does ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. The following described real property, located
at the west end of Palm Avenue approximately 2000 feet west of
Goldenwest Street, is hereby changed from Rl-0, "Low Density
Residential" District, combined with oil production, to ROS-0,
"Recreational Open Space" District, combined with oil production:
That portion of Section 3, Township 6 South, Range 11
West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas and Rancho La Bolsa
Chica, City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange,
State of California, as shown on a map recorded in
Book 51, Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office
of the County Recorder of said County, described as
follows :
Beginning at the most southwesterly corner of Tract
No. 6904 as shown on a map recorded in Book 270,
Page 23, Miscellaneous Maps , in the office of the
County Recorder of said County, thence north 28°58 ' 18"
east 50 . 00 feet along the westerly line of said Tract
No. 6904 to the westerly corner of Lot A of said
tract; thence northerly and easterly along the westerly

SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington
Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 3 (Sectional
District Map 3-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described
in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been
amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a
part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said
district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in
the office of the City Clerk.
SECTION 3 . Section 9061, District Map 3 thereof, is hereby
amended by Zone Case No. 73-31, effective October, 1974 .
SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen
days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington
Beach, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 15th
day of September, 1974 .
