AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 3111. 11 THEREOF PERTAINING
TO THE CITY' S REFUSE COLLECTION CONTRACT
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Ordinance Code is hereby
amended by amending Section 3111. 11 thereof to read as follows :
3111.11. CITY COLLECTION CONTRACT. Any other provision
of this code to the contrary notwithstanding, the city may
enter into contracts with responsible persons for the collection
of refuse within the city utilizing such procurement procedures
and upon such terms and conditions as are deemed appropriate in
the premises. Persons awarded contracts pursuant to this
section shall be exempt from provisions of Section 3111. 14 of
this chapter during the term thereof.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen
days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington
Beach, California.

Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21
day of April, 1.975. 04

that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 7th day of April
19 75 , and was again read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 21st day of April 19 75 and
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
