HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #1982 ORDINANCE NO. 1982 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF BEACH BOULEVARD APPROX- IMATELY 135 FEET NORTH OF CONSTANTINE DRIVE (ZONE CASE NO . 74-4) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 74-4 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, ' NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property, located on the east side of Beach Boulevard approximately 135 feet north of Constantine Drive, is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial, " to R3, "Medium High Density: " The north half of the north half of the north- west quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 36, in Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas , as shown on a map thereof recorded in Book 51, Page 13, Miscellaneous Maps , records of said Orange Countys California. Excepting therefrom the westerly 88 .00 feet. Also excepting therefrom the northerly 65 . 00 feet . SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 40 (Sectional JJOC : cs 1. District Map 36-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 39 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No . 74-4 . SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
