HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2004 ORDINANCE NO. 2004 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 2 TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN NO. 75-2 TO ALIGN MANSION AVENUE TO CON- NECT YORKTOWN AVENUE BETWEEN MAIN STREET AND HUNTINGTON STREET WHEREAS, pursuant to the Planning and Zoning Law, par- ticularly Government Code Sections 65351 et seq. , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing on June 17, 1975 on Precise Plan No. 75-2 to align Mansion Avenue to connect Yorktown Avenue between Main Street and Huntington Street; and On July 21, 1975, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that said Precise Plan No. 75-2 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the map marked Exhibit "Al' attached hereto, incor- porated herein and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby designated and adopted as Precise Plan No. 75-2 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2. District Map 2 (Sectional District Map 2-6-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No. 75-2 to align Mansion Avenue to connect with Yorktown Avenue between Main Street and Huntington Street. SECTION 3. The precise plan, as shown on the map marked JOC :ahb 1. Exhibit "A," amending Sectional District Map 2-6-11, is here- inafter more particularly described and shall be as follows : That portion of Section 2, Township 6 South, Range 11 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas , City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows : A strip of land 100 .00 feet in width, 50 .00 feet either side measured at right angles, of the following described centerline: Beginning at the intersection of a line para- llel with and 60 . 00 feet west measured at right angles from the west line of Block 2002, Tract No . 12, recorded in Book 9 , page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County and a line parallel with and 50 . 00 feet north measured at right angles from the north line of said Block 2002; thence north 89059 , 4511 east 360 .00 feet along said line parallel with and 50 .00 feet northerly, measured at right angles, from the north line of said Block 2002 to a point being the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the southwest having a radius of 800 . 00 feet; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 38114144t1 an arc dis- tance of 534. 01 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave to the north having a radius of 800 .00 feet; thence easterly along said curve through a central angle of 7604014411 an arc distance of 1070 .64 feet to a point on a tangent curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 800 .00 feet; thence northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 38027' 5711 an arc distance of 537. 09 feet to a point on the centerline of Yorktown Street as shown on a map of East Side Villa Tract recorded in Book 4, page 65 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of Orange County; thence south 89°5811611 east 271. 96 feet along said centerline of Yorktown Street to its intersection with the centerline of Delaware Avenue, also shown on said map of. East Side Villa Tract, said intersection being the terminus of the described centerline . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage 2. of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
