AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
BY ADDING THERETO SECTION 2 . 16.080 ENTITLED,
"COMPENSATION"
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
ordain as follows :
SECTION 1 . The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby
amended by adding thereto Section 2 . 16. 080 entitled, "Com-
pensation" to read as follows:
2.16. 080 Compensation. Pursuant to Section 502 of the
City Charter, the compensation of the city treasurer is fixed
at the monthly rate of Two Hundred Eighty-four and no/100ths
Dollars ( $284. 00) commencing and effective on April 19, 1976,
and such compensation shall not be increased or diminished
after the election of the city treasurer or during his or
her term of office.
The city treasurer shall continue to receive all benefits
and allowances .
Nothing in this section shall diminish the present com-
pensation, benefits or allowances now enjoyed by the city
treasurer.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
from its passage . The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen
days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly
newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in
Huntington Beach, California.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 19th
day of April, 1976 .

that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the Sth day of April
19_76 _, and was again read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 19th day of April 19 76 and
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
