HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2118 ORDINANCE NO. 2118 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 23 TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN OF STREET ALIGNMENT NO. 76-7 TO CONVERT THE NORTH END OF DOLORES STREET TO A CUL-DE- SAC WHEREAS, pursuant to the Planning and Zoning Law, par- ticularly Government Code Sections 65351 et seq. , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing on September 8, 1976 on Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 76-7 to convert the north end of Dolores Street , approximately 610 feet north of Pearce Street, to a cul- de-sac; and On October 6 , 1976, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that said Precise Plan No . 76-7 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabitants of the city , and for the orderly development of the community, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the map marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto, incor- porated herein and by reference made a part hereof, is hereby designated and adopted as Precise Plan No . 76-7 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2 . District Map 23 (Sectional District Map 20-5-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No . 76-7 to convert the north end of Dolores Street, approximately 610 feet north of Pearce Street, to a cul-de-sac. JOC : ahb 1. SECTION 3. The precise plan, as-,shown onthe map marked Exhibit "A," amending Sectional District Map 20-5-11, is herein- after more particularly described and shall be', as follows : That portion of the west half of the northwest quarter of the southeast quarter of Section 20, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, city of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in', Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described' as follows : Beginning at the antersection of Algonquin Street and the north line of a private road 30 feet wide , ad- joining the north line of Block A of Trace No . 349 , recorded in Book 15, page 17 of Miscellaneous Maps , Records of said county; thence north 89030 ' 30" east 330 . 03 feet to the centerline of Dolores Street , shown as a private street 50 .00 feet wide, adjoining the east line of said Block A; thence continuing along said north line, north 89°39 ' 30" east 9 .97 feet to a point on a nontangent curve concave southwesterly, having a radius of 47 . 00 feet; a radial line to said point bears north 39016 ,47" east; said point also being the south- west corner of Lot 6, Tract No . 5904 recorded in Book 248, page 6 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of said county; said point also being the true point of beginning; thence southeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 50003' 13" an arc distance 41 .06 feet to a line parallel with and 27.00 feet east , measured at right angles from the centerline of Dolores Street; thence south 0040100" east 69 . 28 feet along said line; thence north 89120100" east 54.00 feet to a nontangent curve concave westerly, having a radius of 33. 00 feet; a radial line to said point bears north 89020100" east; thence northerly and northwesterly along said curve, through a central angle of 59059157" an arc distance 34. 56 feet to a tangent reverse curve concave northeasterly, having a radius of 47 . 00 feet; a radial line to said point bears north 29020 ' 03" east; thence northwesterly, northerly and northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 189°56144" an arc distance 155 . 81 feet to the True Point of Beginning. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption.
