Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #2201 ORDINANCE NO. 2201 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE WEST SIDE' OF BEACH BOULEVARD APPROXIMATELY 150 FEET SOUTH OF MAIN STREET (ZONE CASE NO. 77-7) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 77-7 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and con- sistent with the General Plan, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The following described real property located on the west side of Beach Boulevard approximately 150 feet south f of Main Street is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District" and R5, "Office-Professional District" to C2, "Community Business District : " Lots 5 and 6, Block H, Tract No. 7 in the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange, state of California as recorded in Book 9, page 8 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said county; and Lot 1, Tract 598 in the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange, state of California as recorded in Book 24, page 214 in the Office of the County Recorder of said county. SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 39 (Sectional MT : cs F 1. District Map 35-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code . A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 39 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 77-7. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News, a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
