HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2257 ORDINANCE NO. 2257 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED BETWEEN BEACH BOULEVARD AND ELM STREET (ZONE CASE NO. 77-28) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 77-28 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and con- sistent with the General Plan, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The following described real property located between Beach Boulevard and Elm Street, approximately 288 feet south of Cypress Street, is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial," to R2, "Medium Density Residential: " The east 237. 42 feet of Lot 4, Block F, Tract 436, Section 26, Township 5 south, Range 11 west, in the city of Huntington Beach, county of Orange, state of Califor- nia, as shown on a map recorded in Book 16, page 28 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County. Excepting therefrom the east 217 . 42 feet thereof. SECTION 2 . The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 31 (Sectional District Map 26,5-11) _to incorporate the zone change described in MT; cs 1. Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 31 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 77-28. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
