HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2265 i ORDINANCE N0. 2265 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2 . 04. 050 PERTAINING TO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section 2 . 04. 050 to read as follows : 2 . 04. 050 Contributions--Limitations . No person other than a candidate shall make, solicit or accept any contribution, gift, subscription, loan, advance, deposit , pledge or promise of money or anything of value in aid of the nomination or election of a candidate which will cause the total amount contributed by such person with respect to a single election in support of such candidate to exceed two hundred dollars ( $200) . SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
