HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2276 ORDINANCE NO. 2276 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 10. 44. 050, AND ADDING THERETO SECTIONS 10. 40. 280, 10. 48.160, 10. 64. 090 AND 10. 68.140 MAKING IT AN INFRACTION TO VIOLATE PARKING REGULATIONS The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended by amending Section 10. 44. 050 to read as follows : 10. 44. 050 Penalty--Continuing violations . Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon a conviction thereof, be guilty of an infraction, and punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) , provided further that each period of time a vehicle is left parked after the initial viola- tion of such provisions shall be deemed a separate offense , equal to the maximum legal parking time for the particular time zone or parking space as designated in sections setting the maximum legal time. SECTION 2. The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding Sections 10. 40. 280, 10. 48. 160, 10. 64. O90 and 10. 68. 140 to read as follows : 10. 40 .280 Violation--Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of an infraction, and punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) . 10. 48.160 Violation--Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of an infraction, and punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) . 10. 64. 090 Violation--Penalty. Any person violating any provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of an infraction, and punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) . 10. 68.140 Violation--Penalty . Any person violating any JG:ahb 1. provision of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be guilty of an infraction, and punishable by a fine not to exceed one hundred dollars ($100) . SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news- paper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of April 1978.
