HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2290 ORDINANCE N0. 2290 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING DISTRICT MAP 12 TO INCLUDE PRECISE PLAN NO. 78-2 TO TERMINATE FRANKFORT AVENUE AT THE INTERSECTION OF INDIANAPOLIS AVENUE AND BEACH BOULEVARD WHEREAS, pursuant to the Planning and Zoning Law, parti- cularly California Government Code Section 65500 , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice duly given, held a public hearing on June 6, 1978, to terminate Frankfort Avenue at the intersection of Indianapolis Avenue and Beach Boulevard; and On June 19, 1978, after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council, and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that said Precise Plan No. 78-2 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traffic, for the preservation of the health and safety of 'the inhabitants of the city, and for the orderly development of the community, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. That the real property hereinafter described and shown on the map marked Exhibit "A" attached hereto, in- corporated herein and by reference made a part hereof, is here- by designated and adopted as Precise Plan No. 78-2 of the City of Huntington Beach. SECTION 2. District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11) is hereby amended to include Precise Plan No. 78-2 to terminate Frankfort Avenue at the intersection of Indianapolis Avenue and Beach Boulevard. SECTION 3. The precise plan, as shown on the map marked Exhibit "A," amending Sectional District Map 12, is herein- after more particularly described and shall be as follows : That portion of the S.E. 1/4 Section 11, Town- ship 6 South Range 11 West , in the Rancho Las MT :ps 6/7/78 1. Bolsas , City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California as shown on a map recorded in Book 51 Page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said County, more particularly described as follows : A strip of land 5 feet wide laying Southwesterly of the following described line. Beginning at the Northeasterly corner, Lot 22 , Valley View Tract as per map recorded in Book 5 Page 11 of Miscellaneous Maps , records of said County. Said point also being the terminus of the westerly R/W Frankfort Avenue and also the E. C. of a curve con- cave to the N.W. having a radius of 1372. 7 ft . and a length of 446. 03 ft; thence 70 ft . Southeasterly along a radial line from said point to the easterly R/W of Frankfort Avenue. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in Huntington Beach, California.
