AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
AMENDING SECTION 13. 48.040 PERTAINING TO USE
AND MAINTENANCE OF PUBLIC TOILETS ON THE CITY
BEACH
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
ordain as follows :
SECTION 1. Section 13. 48.040 of the Huntington Beach
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
13. 48 .040 Public toilets . No person shall fail to co-
operate in maintaining public toilets in a neat and sanitary
condition, nor shall any person loiter in or about any public
toilet or enter any public toilet designated for the opposite
sex except that this provision shall not apply to persons under
five years of age who are accompanied by a parent or guardian.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen
days after adoption in the Huntington Beach News , a weekly news-
paper of general circulation, printed and published in the County
of orange.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 21st
day of August , 1978.

of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
adjourned meeting thereof held on the 14th day of August
19_ 72 , and was again read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 21St day of August , 19 78 and
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
