HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2328 ORDINANCE NO. 2328 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM COMMUNITY BUSINESS, COMBINED WITH OIL PRODUCTION, CIVIC DISTRICT TO COMMUNITY BUSINESS-CIVIC DISTRICT, SERVICE STATION ZONE ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF GOLDENWEST STREET AND YORKTOWN AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 78-13) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 78-13 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to the City Council, the City g proper,Council finds that such zone change isand consis- tent with the general plan, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property located at the northeast corner of Goldenwest Street and Yorktown Avenue is hereby changed from C2-0-CD, "Community Business, combined with oil production, Civic District" to C2-CD-SS, "Community Business-Civic District, Service Station Zone: " All that certain land situated in the State of California, County of Orange, city of Huntington Beach, described as follows : That portion of Parcel 1, as shown on almap filed in Book 70, pages 30 and 31 of Parcel baps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, described as follows : Beginning at the centerline intersection of JOC :ahb 10/10/78 1. Goldenwest Street and Mansion (now Yorktown) Avenue, as shown on said parcel map; thence along the center- line of said Goldenwest Street north 0017'5611, east 283. 02 feet ; thence south 89042' 04" east 56.95 to the true point of beginning; thence east 161.96 feet; thence south 224. 00 feet; thence along a line which is parallel with and distant northerly 60.00feet, - - measured -at right angles, from the centerline of said Mansion (now Yorktown) Avenue north 89040' Ol'1 west 165.99 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve con- cave northeasterly having a radius of 32. 00 feet ; thence northwesterly and northeasterly along said curve through' a central angle of 106°11'll" and an arc length of 59. 31 feet to the beginning of a reverse curve concave northwesterly having a radius of 920. 00 feet, a radial line to the point of reverse curve bears nort-h 73028' 50" west ; thence northeasterly along said reverse curve through a central angle of 11033fo8rr and an are length of 185. 49 feet to the true 'point of beginning. SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 2 (Sectional District Map 2-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 2 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 78-13. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach lndepelndent , a bi- weekly newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the County of Orange .
