HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2335 ORDINANCE NO. 2335 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DIS- TRICT ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE NORTH- EAST CORNER OF ATLANTA AVENUE AND BEACH BOULEVARD (ZONE CASE NO. 78-22) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 78-22 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council , the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consis- tent with the general plan, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property located on the northeast corner of Atlanta Avenue and Beach Boulevard is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District" to R2, "Medium Density Residential District : " That portion of the southwest quarter of Section 12, Township 6 South, Range 11 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows : The south 1191 . 96 feet of the west 501 . 21 feet of said southwest quarter, EXCEPTING therefrom the north 521. 01 feet of the east 251. 21 feet . /ps 11/20/78 1. SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 13 (Sectional District Map 12-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 13 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 78-22 . SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach Independent, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the County of ©range.
