Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #2336 ORDINANCE NO. 2336 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM RESIDENTIAL AGRI- CULTURAL DISTRICT AND HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL DIS- TRICT ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTH- EAST CORNER OF ATLANTA AVENUE AND BEACH BOULEVARD (ZONE CASE NO. 78-23) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 78-23 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings , and after due con- sideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consis- tent with the general plan, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The following described real property located on the southeast corner of Atlanta Avenue and Beach Boulevard is hereby changed from RA, "Residential Agricultural District" to C4, "Highway Commercial District" on the property described herein as Parcel 1, and from C4, "Highway Commercial District" to R2, "Medium Density. Residential District" on the property described herein as Parcel 2 : That portion of the northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 11 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows : /ps 11/20/78 1 . PARCEL 1 : That portion of land shown on a. map of Proposed Relinquishment recorded in State Highway Map Book 5, page 46 in the office of the County Recorder of said county, bounded on the east by the west line of the thereon shown frontage road (Parcel 1) , bounded on the north by the south line of the thereon shown Atlanta Avenue, bounded on the west by the thereon shown east line of Beach Boulevard and bounded on the south by the south line of the north 1314. 09 feet of said northwest one quarter. PARCEL 2 : The south 665. 5 feet of the north 1979. 59 feet of the west 544 . 55 feet of the northwest quarter of Section 13, Township 6 South, Range 11 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas , City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as shown on a map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county. SECTION 2. The Planning Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 14 (Sectional District Map 13-6-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 14 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 78-23. SECTION 4 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the pas- sage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach Independent, a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in the County of Orange.
