AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 2. 102.020 TO CHANGE THE
NUMBER OF MEMBERS SERVING ON THE ENVIRONMENTAL
BOARD
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does
ordain as follows:
SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby
amended by amending Section 2.102.020 to read as follows:
2.102 .020 Composition. The environmental board shall
consist of not more than eleven voting members, all appointed by
the city council. All members shall be residents of the city of
Huntington Beach, and over one-half of the members shall be
registered voters of the city of Huntington Beach. All members
shall serve without compensation, and none shall hold any office
or employment in the city government.
The members shall serve a term of four years. Members shall
have a term starting July 1 and expiring June 30, and present
members shall continue in office until June 30 of the year of
expiration of term. Each member shall serve his term until his
successor is qualified and appointed. If vacancies shall occur
otherwise than by expiration of term, they shall be filled by
appointment for the unexpired portion of the term.
SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days
after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage
of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen
days after adoption in the Huntington Beach Independent, a news-
paper of general circulation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 4th
day of September , 1979 .

of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 20th day of August
19 79 , and was again read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 4th day of September 1979 and
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
