HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2676 i pp p i ORDINANCE NO. 2676 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE BY REPEALING SECTIONS 3.44.260 THROUGH 3.44. 280 , AND BY ADDING THERETO NEW SECTIONS 3.44.260 THROUGH 3.44.280 RELATING TO GRANTING FEES FOR PIPELINE FRANCHISES The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. Sections 3. 44. 260 through 3.44. 280 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code are hereby repealed. SECTION 2. The Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended by adding thereto sections 3.44.260 through 3. 44. 280 to read as follows : 3. 44.260 Basic granting fee. In the event of an initial grant of franchise or franchises which extend, renew, or continue previously granted franchises, a base granting fee shall be re- quired as established, and amended from time to time, by resolution of the city council. 3.44.270 Base annual fee. A base annual fee shall be paid by franchisee at times specified and in the amount established, and amended from time to time, by resolution of the city council. 3 . 44.280 Base construction charges. The holder of the franchise shall pay at the time of installation, relocation or replacement of any segment of pipe or pipeline , or any other fa- cility covered by the franchise agreement , a base construction charge established, and amended from time to time, by resolution of the city council. SECTION 3• This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after adoption.
