HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2736 f ORDINANCE NO. 2736 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY REPEALING ORDINANCE NO. 2414 ; AND ADOPTING PRECISE PLAN OF STREET ALIGNMENT NO. 84-2 , ALIGNING LAKE STREET BETWEEN CHICAGO AND ATLANTA AVENUES, AND ATLANTA AVENUE BETWEEN ALABAMA STREET AND ORANGE AVENUE, AND DELETING THE EX- ISTING ALIGNMENT OF LAKE STREET BETWEEN CHICAGO AND OLIVE AVENUES WHEREAS, pursuant to the Planning and Zoning Law, particu- larly California Government Code section 65500 , the Planning Commission of the City of Huntington Beach, after notice duly given , held a public hearing on September 5 , 1984 to consider Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 to effect precise alignment of Lake Street between Chicago and Atlanta Avenues , and Atlanta Avenue between Alabama Street and Orange Avenue ; and On October 1 , 1984 , after notice duly given, hearing was held before this Council , and the matter having been considered, the Council finds that Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 is reasonably necessary to the orderly and efficient flow of traf- fic , for the preservation of the health and safety of the inhabi- tants of the city, and for the orderly development of the com- munity, NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1 . Ordinance No . 2414 entitled , "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach Amending the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code by Amending District Map 12 to Include Precise Plan No. 79-2 to align Lake Street between Orange and Walnut Avenues , and Atlanta Avenue between Delaware and Lake Streets ," adopted February 4 , 1980 is hereby repealed. District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11 ) , marked Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference , is hereby amended to include Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 , to effect the precise alignment of Lake Street between Chicago and Atlanta Avenues , and the precise alignment of Atlanta Avenue between Alabama Street and Orange Avenue , and delete the existing alignment of Lake Street between f Chicago and Olive Avenues . i SECTION 3. The real property designated as Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 is more particularly described in III Exhibit B, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption.
