HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2737 ORDINANCE NO. 2737 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE TO AMEND PRECISE PLAN NO. 79-4 , ADOPTED BY ORDINANCE NO. 2412 , RELATING TO A REDUCTION IN RIGHT-OF-WAY WIDTH ON LAKE STREET WHEREAS, on January 21 , 1980 the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach adopted Ordinance No. 2412 entitled , "An Ordinance of the City of Huntington Beach Amending the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code by Amending District Map DM 12 to Include Precise Plan No. 79-4 to Reduce the Width of Lake Street Between Indianapolis Avenue and Orange Avenue ; and On September 5 , 1984, the Planning Commission held a public hearing at which time Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 , realigning Lake Street between Chicago and Atlanta Avenues , and Atlanta Avenue between Alabama Street and Orange Avenue was con- sidered and recommended for adoption to the City Council ; and It is necessary that the description of real property con- tained in Precise Plan No. 79-4 be amended in order to effect Precise Plan of Street Alignment No. 84-2 , NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does resolve as follows : SECTION 1 . Precise Plan No. 79-4 is hereby amended to estab- lish the width of Lake Street as 90 feet between Indianapolis Avenue and Third Street , as more particularly described in Section 2 hereof . SECTION 2 . The real property, encompassed by Precise Plan No. 79-4 and shown on the map marked Exhibit A, attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference, is described as follows : That portion of Section 11 , Township 6 South, Range 11 West , in the Rancho Las Bolsas , city RCS :ahb 9/24/84 0140D 1 . of huntington Beach, county of Orange , state of California , as shown on a map recorded in Book 51 , page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of said county , described as follows : A strip of land 90. 00 feet in width, 45 . 00 feet either side of centerline , said centerline also shown as the centerline of Railroad Avenue (now Lake Street) on a map of Huntington Beach Main Street Section, recorded in Book 3 , page 43 and on a map of the Wesley Park Section, recorded in Book 4 , page 17 , all in the office of the County Recorder of said county; said centerline of said strip of land is described as follows : Beginning at the quarter section line of said Section 11 ; thence south along the centerline of Lake Street and terminating 132. 02 feet north, measured along the centerline of said Lake Street and Third Street , as shown on said map of Huntington Beach Main Street Section. SECTION 3. District Map 12 (Sectional District Map 11-6-11 ) is hereby amended to reduce the width of Lake Street from 100 feet to a 90 foot right-of-way between Indianapolis Avenue and Third Street . SECTION 3. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage.
