Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #2792 II ORDINANCE NO. 2792 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL TO HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL COMBINED WITH SERVICE STATION SUFFIX ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BOLSA AVENUE AND EDWARDS STREET (ZONE CASE NO. 84-14) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 84-14, wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consider- ation of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consis- tent with the general plan. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The following described real property, gen- erally located on the southeast corner of Bolsa Avenue and Edwards Street, is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District" to C4-SS, "Highway Commercial District, " permitting the location of a service station: The North 249.00 feet of the West 192 .00 feet of the northeast quarter of Section 15, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho La Bolsa Chica, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 51, Page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, in the office of the County Recorder of said county, described as follows: Beginning at the northwest corner of the northeast quarter of Section 15, said corner being the centerline intersection of Bolsa Avenue 80.00 feet wide and Edwards Street ,,4,T. 00 feet wide; thence, south 0040 '00" East along said centerline of Edwards Street and r west line of said Northeast quarter a distance of 40.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence, continuing along said course a distance of 209.00 feet; thence, North 89°34 '13" East a distance of 42 .00 feet; thence North 0°40 '00" West parallel with the west line of said Northeast quarter a distance of 119.88 feet to the beginning of a tangent curve concave to the southeast having a radius of 30.00 feet ; thence, northeasterly along said curve through a central angle of 90°14 ' 13" an arc distance of 47. 25 feet to the point of tangency with a line bearing North 89034' 13" East thence k north 89034 '13" east along said course parallel with the north line of said Northeast quarter a distance of 119. 88 feet; thence, North 0040 '00" West a distance of 59. 00 feet; thence, South 89034 '13" West parallel with the north line of said Northeast quarter a distance of 192 .00 feet to the true point of beginning. SECTION 3. Section 9061 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, District Map 17 (Sectional District Map 15-5-11) is hereby amended to reflect the change contained in this ordinance and on the map attached hereto. The Director of Development Services is hereby directed to prepare and file amended map. A copy of such district map, as amended, shall be available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage.
