Home My WebLink AboutOrdinance #2796 ORDINANCE NO. 2796 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT--SERVICE STATION ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE SOUTHEAST CORNER OF BEACH BOULEVARD AND ADAMS AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 85-5) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 85-5 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consider- ation of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and con- sistent with the general plan. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The following described real property, located on the southeast corner of Beach Boulevard amd Adams Avenue, is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District" to C4-SS, "Highway Commercial District, " service station permitted: All that certain land situated in the state of California, county of Orange, city of Huntington Beach, described as follows: That portion of the north 120.00 acres of the northwest quarter of Section 12, Township 6 South, Range 11 West in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 14 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder of Orange County, California, described as follows: 1. Beginning at the northwest corner of saidSection 12, Township 6 South, Range 11 West as shown on parcel map recorded in Book 41, page 24 of Parcel Maps, records of said county; thence along the northerly line of said Sec- tion 12 and centerline of Adams Avenue north 89°48' 32" east 268. 77 feet; thence parallel with the westerly line of said Section 12 south 0°39' 20" east 60.00 feet to the true point of beginning; thence continuing south 0°39 '20" east 165.00 feet; thence parallel with the northerly line of said Section 12 south 89°48' 32" west 180. 77 feet to a line parallel with and 88. 00 feet easterly of the westerly line of said Section 12; thence along said par- allel line north 0°39 ' 20" west 165.00 feet; thence north 16029 ' 15" east 104.39 feet to a line parallel with and 60.00 feet southerly of the northerly line of said Section 12; thence along said parallel line north 89°48 ' 32" east 150.00 feet to the true point of beginning. EXCEPTING THEREFROM all oil, petroleum, as- phaltum, gas, and other hydrocarbon substances in or under said land. SECTION 3. Section 9061 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, District Map 13 (Sectional District Map 12-6-11) is hereby amended to reflect the change contained in this ordi- nance and on the map attached hereto. The Director of Development Services is hereby directed to prepare and file an amended map. A copy of such district map, as amended, shall be available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage.
