HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2803 ORDINANCE NO. 2803 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION C9061 TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT ( SERVICE STATION PERMITTED) ON REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON THE NORTHEAST CORNER OF BEACH BOULEVARD AND GARFIELD AVENUE (ZONE CASE NO. 85-11 ) WHEREAS, pursuant to the state Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 85-11 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consider- ation of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consis- tent with the general plan. NOW, THEREFORE, the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1 . The following described real property, gener- ally located on the northeast corner of Beach Boulevard and Garfield Avenue, is hereby changed from C4, "Highway Commercial District, " to C4-SS, "Highway Commercial District, " service station permitted: The south 200.00 feet of the west 238. 00 feet of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of the southwest quarter of Section 36, Township 5 South, Range 11 West, in the Rancho Las Bolsas, as per map recorded in Book 51, page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps in the office of the County Recorder, County of Orange, State of California. EXCEPT those portions thereof de- scribed in the deed to the State of 1. California, recorded July 6, 1951, in Book 2094, page 604, Official Records of said county. SECTION 3 . Section 9061 of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code, District Map 40 (Sectional District Map 36-5-11) is hereby amended to reflect the change contained in this ordi- nance and on the map attached hereto. The Director of Development Services is hereby directed to prepare and file an amended map. A copy of such district map, as amended, shall be available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage.
