HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2818 ORDINANCE NO. 2818 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTIONS 2.05.020 AND 2.05.030 RELATING TO CAMPAIGN CONTRIBUTIONS The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : SECTION 1. The Huntington Beach Municial Code is hereby amended by amending sections 2.05. 020 and 2.05. 030 to read as follows : 2.05.020 Limitations on contributions--Individual. No contributor shall make contributions in support of any candidacy or to any controlled committee with respect to any election, and no candidate shall accept contributions including contributions to such candidates ' controlled committees, from any individual, which contributions, in the aggregate, exceed $300. 2. 05. 030 Limitations on contributions--Independent committee (PAC) . No independent committee PAC shall make any contributions in support of the election of any candidate or to any controlled committee with respect to any election, and no candidate shall accept contributions from an independent committee (PAC) , which, in the aggregate, exceed $1, 500. SECTION 2. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its passage.
