HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2843 i- ORDIPNANCE NO. 2843' AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTIN13TON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 9061 THEREOF TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM (Q)C4, QUALIFIED HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT AND C4, HIGHWAY COMMERCIAL DISTRICT TO (Q)R2, QUALIFIED MEDIUM DENSITY RESIDENTIAL ON REAL PROPERTY LOCATED ON THE EAST SIDE OF BOLSA CHICA STREET BETWEEN WARNER AVENUE AND PEARCE STREET ( ZONE CASE NO. 86-7) WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have had separate public hearings relative to Zone Case No. 86-7 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to said City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consistent with the general plan, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1. The following described real property, located on the east side of Bolsa Chica Street between Warner Avenue and Pearce Street is hereby changed from (Q)C4, "Qualified-Highway Commercial" and C4, "Highway Commercial" to (Q)R2, "Qualified- Medium Density Residential District" : Parcel 1: The southerly 132 feet of Lot 1 in Block 5 of Tract 86, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in Book 10, pages 35 and 36 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said county. Parcel 2 : The northerly 132.33 feet of the southerly 264.33 feet of Lot 1 in Block 5 of Tract 86, in the City of Huntington Beach, County of Orange, State of California, as per map recorded in book 10, pages 35 and 36 of Miscellaneous Maps in the Office of the County Recorder of said county. subject to the following conditions: 1. The two subject properties shall be developed as an intergrated development, either in the form of a large project or subdivided into smaller lots with a cul-de-sac. i SECTION 2. The Development Services Director of the City of Huntington Beach is hereby directed to change District Map 24 (Sectional District Map 21-5-11) to incorporate the zone change described in Section 1 hereof, and as said district map shall have been amended, the same shall be in full force and effect and be a part of the Huntington Beach Ordinance Code. A copy of said district map, as amended hereby, is available for inspection in the office of the City Clerk. SECTION 3. Section 9061, District Map 24 thereof, is hereby amended by Zone Case No. 86-7 . SECTION 4. This ordinance shall take effect thirty days after its adoption. The City Clerk shall certify to the passage of this ordinance and cause same to be published within fifteen days after adoption in the Huntington Beach Independent, a newspaper of general circulation.
