AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH
AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE
BY AMENDING SECTION 2.106. 020, RELATING TO THE
COMPOSITION OF THE FOURTH OF JULY EXECUTIVE BOARD
The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain
as follows :
Section 1 . Section 2.106. 020 of the Huntington Beach
Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows :
2.106. 020 Composition. The board shall consist of fifteen
(15 ) members, appointed by the City Council, for terms of one (1) ,
two ( 2 ) , and three ( 3) years, to commence on January 1 and expire
on December 31 . All members of the board shall be residents of
the City of Huntington Beach, or employees or owners of businesses
that operate within the City of Huntington Beach. In the event a
member resigns or is unable to complete his or her term, an
appointment shall be made to fill the remainder of such member ' s
unexpired term.
Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance insofar as they
are substantially the same as existing provisions of the
Huntington Beach Municipal Code relating to the same subject
matter shall be construed as restatements and continuations and
not as new enactments.
PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of
Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th
day of February , 1987.

of members of the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach is seven;
that the foregoing ordinance was read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 2nd day of February
19 87 , and was again read to said City Council at a regular
meeting thereof held on the 17th day of February , 1987 , and
was passed and adopted by the affirmative vote of more than a majority of
all the members of said City Council.
