HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2892 ORDINANCE NO. 2892 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING THE HUNTINGTON BEACH MUNICIPAL CODE BY AMENDING SECTION 2.106. 020, RELATING TO THE COMPOSITION OF THE FOURTH OF JULY EXECUTIVE BOARD The City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows : Section 1 . Section 2.106. 020 of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows : 2.106. 020 Composition. The board shall consist of fifteen (15 ) members, appointed by the City Council, for terms of one (1) , two ( 2 ) , and three ( 3) years, to commence on January 1 and expire on December 31 . All members of the board shall be residents of the City of Huntington Beach, or employees or owners of businesses that operate within the City of Huntington Beach. In the event a member resigns or is unable to complete his or her term, an appointment shall be made to fill the remainder of such member ' s unexpired term. Section 2. The provisions of this ordinance insofar as they are substantially the same as existing provisions of the Huntington Beach Municipal Code relating to the same subject matter shall be construed as restatements and continuations and not as new enactments. PASSED AND ADOPTED by the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach at a regular meeting thereof held on the 17th day of February , 1987.
