HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance #2973 ORDINANCE NO. 2973 B AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF HUNTINGTON BEACH AMENDING SECTION 9061 OF THE HUNTINGTON BEACH ORDINANCE CODE TO PROVIDE FOR CHANGE OF ZONING FROM LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL COMBINED WITH OIL (DESIGNATED COMMUNITY FACILITIES-CIVIC) AND LOW DENSITY RESIDENTIAL COMBINED WITH OIL TO QUALIFIED OLDTOWN SPECIFIC PLAN DISTRICT 2 CIVIC DISTRICT ON REAL PROPERTY GENERALLY LOCATED ON ELEVEN ACRES WEST OF LAKE AVENUE SOUTH OF CIVIC CENTER, NORTH OF UTICA ( ZONE CHANGE NO. 88-13 ) WHEREAS, pursuant to the State Planning and Zoning Law, the Huntington Beach Planning Commission and Huntington Beach City Council have held separate public hearings relative to Zone Change No. 88-13 wherein both bodies have carefully considered all information presented at said hearings, and after due consideration of the findings and recommendations of the Planning Commission and all evidence presented to the City Council, the City Council finds that such zone change is proper, and consistent with the General Plan. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED the City Council of the City of Huntington Beach does ordain as follows: SECTION 1 . The following described real property, - generally located on eleven acres west of Lake Avenue, south of Civic Center, north of Utica is hereby changed from Low Density Residential Combined with Oil (Designated Community Facilities-Civic) and Low Density Residential Combined with Oil to Qualified Oldtown Specific Plan District 2 Civic District , subject to the conditions set forth on Exhibit "A" attached hereto and incorporated by this reference: Those portions of Block 1901, 1902 and 1903 as shown on Map of Tract No. 12 Recorded in Book 9, Page 13 of Miscellaneous Maps, Records of Orange County, California, more particularly described as follows : 1 - 2973 B Beginning at the centerline intersection of Lake Avenue, 90 feet wide, with Utica Street, 60 feet wide, as shown on said Tract No. 12 thence west 840 .00 feet along said centerline of Utica Street; thence north 358,00 feet on a line parallel to the centerline of said Lake Avenue; thence north 45000 '00" east 24 .04 feet to a line parallel with and northerly 375 .00 feet from the centerline of said Utica Street; thence east 167 .21 feet along said parallel line to the centerline of 17th Street, 70 feet wide, as shown on said map of Tract No. 12; thence north 41019 '00" east 427 .39 feet along said centerline of said 17th Street to a line parallel with and northerly 696 .00 feet from the centerline of said Utica Street; thence east 373 .62 feet along said parallel line to the centerline of said Lake Avenue; thence south 696 .00 feet along said centerline of Lake Avenue to the point of beginning. Containing 11 .021 acres, more or less . i SECTION 2 . The Director of Community Development is hereby directed to amend Section 9061, District Map 2 (Sectional District Map 2-6-111 reflect Zone Change No. 88-13, described in Section 1 hereof . Copies of said district maps, as amended hereby, are available for inspection in the Office of the City Clerk . PAGE END 2 - 2973 B SECTION 3 . This ordinance shall take effect thirty (30 ) days after its adoption.
